A Woman's Wisdom

As a woman you care. You matter. You have impact. You are still the grounding center of the home and family, the teacher, the encourager, the comforter, the boo-boo fixer…... most likely, still the chef de jour and personal shopper for your family. You share. When you achieve balance and wellness, you share balance and wellness and your whole family benefits and gains the same. The result is happy, healthy families and a ripple effect throughout the community and perhaps the world. You can change your world; we can change our world one person at a time, one family at a time!

The Woman’s Wisdom program helps you identify a personal plan to get you back in balance in body mind and spirit. When you give your body what it needs you will feel restored, revitalized and renewed. Your weight will optimize and your cravings will decrease (cravings, like thirst, are just your body’s way of telling you it needs something). When you target wellness, weight loss follows. Our program is not a diet but a return to a balanced joyful lifestyle that will impact you and your family.

With the right support and a little “woman’s wisdom”, you can optimize your health, metabolism and weight. You can be healthy, sexy and age-less! Not just for a moment, but for your life.

Some Basics....

Want to know what I do to maintain my health? I make sure that I give my body what it needs. If you neglected your car and didn't change the oil, transmission fluid, or put gas in it, it wouldn't run very well - our bodies are no different, they are just a little more forgiving than a car and take a lot of abuse before they demand our attention with a symptom. When they do speak up, they do it in a big way - keeping you from enjoying time with your family, robbing you of energy, even racking up medical bills that cost far more for each episode of illness than it would have cost to maintain your health. Our bodies are wonderful creations that work day in and day out repairing and maintaining themselves. We need to support our body's effort to keep us in gear!

What do I do? I exercise, eat whole organic foods and supplement my diet with glyconutrients, vitamins and minerals, essential amino acids and antioxidants, I drink filtered antioxidant/alkaline water... People ask me isn't that expensive? No! It is "my health insurance", what we pay for is sickness insurance. Our insurance programs aren't about staying healthy, but about covering the cost of illness and disease. So when I spend the equivalent of a cup of some very famous coffee a day on "my HEALTH insurance" program, I feel that I am getting a very good deal.

I recommend some basics to everyone

  • Engage in healthy relationships and keep a positive outlook

  • Set time aside to reflect and meditate; finding that peaceful moment with the Creator

  • Eat whole organic, unprocessed foods

  • Eat low glycemic foods (these are presented in our program, or you can google a list)

  • Eat right for your nutritional type - Health4Life and I offer nutritional typing to help you feel your best

  • Exercise - Do it all - Cardio for your heart and lungs, resistance or strength training to maintain healthy muscle and bones, a flexibility program and a balance workout. You need all types.

  • Keep well hydrated. Drink 8 glasses of filtered (preferably antioxidant/alkaline) water a day, more if it is hot or if you are active

  • Supplement your diet with a GOOD multivitamin and mineral product. I am not talking about the synthetic kind you find at the corner store, but a good plant based or fermented vitamin that is made using the best manufacturing practices available, so you get the best bioavailability and consistency and you get what it says you are getting. Want more than just a vitamin? Consider functional metabolic testing to determine how best to support your health with a Priva Test from Ideal Health & the Trump Network or a Triad Test from Metametrics Labs.

  • Include Glyconutrients - (essential sugars like glucosamine (surprise you that glucosamine is a sugar?)) are a missing piece in the health puzzle. It has been found that our modern diets contain just two of the eight sugars that are essential for cellular function & communication. When all eight sugars are provided, the body has what it needs to communicate properly and to do what it was designed to do. Ever have syllables dropped on a cell phone call and just hear "blips?" you can't understand what is being said, there is miscommunication. The same is true with cellular communication. When even one sugar is missing, the cells cannot communicate their needs or function optimally. You need all of the "words" to make it work.

  • Build up your Vitamin D3 level - with 2000-5000 units of Vitamin D3 a day and 10-15 minutes of sunshine!

  • Take your Omega 3s. Make sure they are distilled or purified and free of heavy metals, and that they are just Omega 3s. You do not need to supplement 6s and 9s.

  • Use the right kind of Antioxidant. Did you know that most antioxidants you purchase have lost their potency by the time you purchase them? Why? Because they do what antioxidants do - they oxidize! That is, they react when they are exposed to air, and most are exposed to air after they are made and when they are sitting on the shelf, so you are in fact, paying for a bottle of nothing! You want to choose one that has been designed to work only after you take it. Did you also know that when you combine antioxidants in the wrong way, that they actually form free radicals but when you combine them in the right way they have a multiplicative effect in protecting you? You need to be savvy about what you are giving yourself.

  • Make sure you are getting your essential proteins or amino acids. These are powerhouse building blocks for muscle, brain function and endocrine support.

  • Maintain a detoxification program: Twice a year (if healthy - otherwise you may need to do this more often) do a gentle detox and GI restoration program to remove yeast, bacteria and parasites from your body and to promote good GI health. Use Zeolite on a regular basis to bind and remove heavy metals and chemicals from your body. Soak your fruits and veggies in ionized, antioxidant water to remove pesticides and chemicals from them before eating.

  • Rest(ore) yourself with adequate sleep(at least 7-8 hours a night) and play! This helps your immune system as well as your state of mind.

There are more, but these are just a few of the basics. To learn more or to obtain your consult call our office at 540-432-1700 or go to http://www.nosweatfitnessexpress.blogspot.com/

Are You Toxic?

Are you tired? Have trouble loosing weight? Always seem to plateau and get stuck in one spot when dieting? Suffer from "Brain Fog", low energy and anxiety? You may be toxic from chemicals and heavy metals. We are constantly bombarded with toxins and our bodies do their best to support us but sometimes they need a little help.

Help your body help itself by giving it what it needs and by helping it detoxify. Heavy Metal testing is always a good idea. It is easy and inexpensive. But shot of that, there are other things you can do to support yourself.

Ridding yourself of yeast and parasites and supporting your GI tract is great way to help your body. Include foods in your diet that help your liver (onions, garlic, asparagus to name a few...) and support your liver with supplementation. N-AC is great for the liver and SAM-e helps you detoxify. Plants like Dandelion and Milk Thistle help and probiotics are great. I recommend that you do a gentle cleanse and GI support twice a year - we have a very simple, safe protocol at Energie! that will not throw you off balance and will give your metabolism a boost.

Natural Cell Defense Liquid Zeolite is also a great supplement to use on a regular basis to trap and remove toxins and heavy metals. It is the only brand of Zeolite that can cross the intestinal membrane to circulate in the bloodstream and "de-activate " the heavy metals by trapping them in its matrix and then removing them from your body either in the urine or GI tract. It is also effective in reducing the pesticide load. Zeolite is otherwise inert in the body and free of side effects. If you are concerned about heavy metal or chemical exposure, I recommend you use this to support your health. You can find more information at www.myncd.com/241227

Another way to remove toxins is to include broken cell wall chlorella in your diet. This helps with toxin and heavy metal removal but does not have the ability to bind with the heavy metal's in your bloodstream like the Zeolite - it only binds with some toxins in the gut to prevent them from entering into your system. It is a great food source, has no side effects and is available at health food stores.
